Premier League Trophy Arrives in Kenya for Fan Tour
The English Premier League trophy is set to meet Kenyan football fans in Kisumu on Friday, October 16, and Nairobi on Saturday, October 17, 2026, as Guinness brings the prestigious silverware closer to supporters through a two-city fan tour featuring trophy displays and live match screenings. The initiative aims to celebrate Kenya’s strong following of English football and give local supporters an opportunity to experience one of the sport’s most recognisable prizes up close.

The trophy arrived in Nairobi earlier in the week ahead of the scheduled activities, generating excitement among supporters who follow the English top flight. Guinness, the Premier League’s official beer partner, is organising the tour as part of its Guinness Matchday experience, which combines football screenings with opportunities for fans to meet fellow supporters and celebrate their favourite teams.
In Kisumu, fans are expected to gather at Dondez Lounge and Berlin Lounge on Friday for the trophy showcase and football-related activities. The tour will then move to Nairobi on Saturday, with events planned at 1824 Lounge and Kettle House Runda, where supporters will have opportunities to view the silverware and enjoy screenings of weekend Premier League fixtures.
Guinness Brand Manager Joy Murugi said the initiative recognises the enthusiasm Kenyan supporters have shown for the competition and reflects the company’s commitment to delivering memorable football experiences. She noted that bringing the trophy closer to fans would enhance the Matchday experience while recognising their continued support for the Premier League.

The trophy tour also highlights the Premier League’s popularity in Kenya, where supporters regularly gather in homes, restaurants and entertainment venues to watch matches and support clubs from across England. The competition’s international appeal has helped create a strong football-following culture, bringing together fans who share a passion for the game despite supporting different teams.
Beyond the trophy display, the planned activities are intended to create opportunities for social interaction among supporters while bringing the excitement of Premier League matchdays into local communities. Fans will be able to celebrate their shared interest in the competition and enjoy the atmosphere surrounding the visit of the famous silverware.
The Kenyan tour comes as the 2026/27 Premier League season continues, with clubs competing for points and supporters following developments in the title race. By taking the trophy to Kisumu and Nairobi, organisers hope to strengthen the connection between the competition and its Kenyan audience, giving fans an opportunity to celebrate their passion for English football beyond their television screens.
