The Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), Renson Mulele Ingonga, has warned politicians and individuals accused of fuelling political tensions that no one will be spared in the ongoing crackdown on hate speech, inflammatory remarks and politically instigated violence ahead of next year’s General Election.
His warning comes amid heightened political activity across the country, with authorities raising concern over incidents of political goonism and inflammatory rhetoric that they say threaten national unity and peaceful coexistence.
Speaking in Mombasa during the 38th National Council on the Administration of Justice (NCAJ) Conference, Ingonga said his office, working jointly with the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) and the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC), will take firm action against anyone found inciting violence or disrupting political activities.

His remarks come as security and justice agencies intensify efforts to curb political violence and safeguard peace during the pre-election period.
