NTSA Warns Against Licence Brokers
Motorists waiting for driving licences, logbooks or number plates no longer need to pay brokers to know if their documents are ready.
The National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) on Monday, issued a fresh directive urging drivers to use its free online portal to check the status of uncollected documents before visiting collection centres.
According to the notice, the portal requires no registration. Smart driving licences are searched using the national ID number, while logbooks and reflective number plates are traced using the vehicle or motorcycle registration number.
“Checking the status of your smart driving license and number plates is free; do not deal with brokers,” NTSA said.
The system also shows the exact centre where documents should be collected, helping motorists avoid wasted trips.
It doubles as a complaints desk where delays can be reported, with feedback sent to the email provided at submission.
The directive is part of a wider efficiency push. On October 8, NTSA announced licences can now be processed and collected in under two minutes to cut queues.

Motorists are advised to use only official channels and avoid intermediaries charging for fast tracking.
