Linda Mwananchi movement targets Homabay and Kakamega
The Linda Mwananchi movement has announced plans to hold political rallies in Homa Bay and Kakamega later this month as part of its nationwide mobilisation campaign ahead of the 2027 General Election.
The rallies are expected to be led by opposition figures including former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, former Public Service Cabinet Secretary Justin Muturi, former Agriculture Cabinet Secretary Peter Munya, and other leaders allied to the movement.
The leaders say the visits are intended to strengthen grassroots support, engage residents on governance issues and rally backing for their political agenda.
A movement official said, “Our mission is to take the conversation to the people, listen to wananchi, and build a stronger movement ahead of the 2027 General Election.”
The official added, “This is about engaging Kenyans at the grassroots and giving citizens a voice in shaping the country’s future.”
The latest announcement underscores the growing political activity across the country, with parties and coalitions seeking to expand their influence well before the official campaign period begins.
