Teachers who served as invigilators during the 2025 national examinations will receive their dues by Friday this week, KNEC CEO David Njengere has said.
Speaking on the delayed payments, Njengere reaffirmed KNEC’s commitment to honor all contractual obligations with examiners, invigilators, supervisors and centre managers engaged in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education, KPSEA and KJSEA.
The council engaged 54,782 invigilators for KCSE alone, working under 10,754 centre managers.
Across KPSEA and KJSEA, another 137,110 invigilators supported the process.KNEC acknowledged that budgetary constraints had slowed disbursement, but said allowances and coordination fees are being processed as a priority.
The council urged teachers to ensure their CP2 details match their ID and M-Pesa records to avoid mismatches.KNEC also increased pay rates by 3% for eligible officials to recognize their work.
