Harambee Starlets Thrash Seychelles 22–0 on Aggregate
Kenya’s Harambee Starlets recorded an emphatic 22–0 aggregate victory over Seychelles to advance in the qualifying campaign for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games, underlining the team’s attacking strength in the women’s football competition.
The Kenyan side completed the impressive result after winning the return match 11–0 on 12 October 2026. The victory followed another commanding performance in the first leg, giving Kenya a comprehensive advantage across the two matches.

Forward Jentrix Shikangwa was among the standout performers in the return fixture, scoring a hat-trick as the Starlets continued to dominate their opponents.
The result highlighted Kenya’s ability to create scoring opportunities and maintain pressure throughout the contest. The team’s clinical finishing proved decisive in securing the aggregate victory and progressing in the Olympic qualifying campaign.
The achievement offers encouragement for Kenyan women’s football as the national side seeks to advance further in the African qualification process. Strong performances in such competitions can also help raise the profile of the women’s game and inspire more young players to pursue football.

Despite the large margin of victory, the Starlets will need to maintain their form against stronger opponents as the qualifying campaign continues. Each subsequent round is expected to present a different challenge on the road to the Olympic Games.
Kenya’s 22–0 aggregate triumph therefore provides a significant boost to the team’s campaign, although qualification for the 2028 Olympic Games remains a longer-term objective.
