President William Ruto is pushing for a new long-term development framework dubbed Kenya Vision 2060, saying the country needs to plan beyond the current development realities.
Ruto says Kenya must prepare for major changes brought about by technology, artificial intelligence and climate change, which are expected to significantly influence the country’s economy and society in the coming decades.
The President argues that Vision 2060 should provide a long-term roadmap for economic transformation, job creation and improved living standards, while ensuring Kenya remains competitive in a rapidly changing global environment.
Ruto says the country cannot continue relying solely on traditional approaches to development, calling for fresh ideas and investments that will prepare Kenya for future generations.
