Global music star Rihanna has shared a rare glimpse of a family moment after taking her three children to the Barbados neighbourhood where she grew up.
The singer and businesswoman visited the area with her children, RZA, Riot and Rocki, giving them an opportunity to see the place that shaped her early years. Rihanna shared photos and video from the emotional family outing on social media.
The street, formerly known as Westbury New Road, was renamed Rihanna Drive in 2017 in honour of the Barbadian star. The area, located in Bridgetown, has since become a cultural landmark celebrating her roots.
In one of the photos, Rihanna is seen posing with her children beside a sign bearing the name Rihanna Drive. She also shared a tender moment holding her youngest child while keeping close to her two sons.
The visit offered fans a glimpse into Rihanna’s private family life, as she and partner A$AP Rocky generally keep their children away from the public spotlight. The outing also highlighted the contrast between her humble childhood beginnings and her life as an internationally recognised star.
Reflecting on the moment, Rihanna wrote that she could still feel like the child from Westbury one minute and then find herself bringing her own children back to the street that now carries her name.
