Ayra Starr Drops Third Album, Starrgirl
Nigerian Afropop star Ayra Starr has released her third studio album, Starrgirl, a 16-track project featuring several international and African music stars.
The album follows her previous projects, 19 & Dangerous and The Year I Turned 21, and marks a new chapter in the singer’s career, built around a distinctive purple-themed visual identity.
Starrgirl features collaborations with Wizkid on “Gimme Dat”, Rema on “Who’s Dat Girl”, UK singer Kwn on “Amazing”, and American singer Leon Thomas on “Pressure.”
Other featured artists include French singer Theodora on “Ms. Paper”, Colombian artist Danny Ocean on the remix of “Hot Body”, and former One Direction star ZAYN on “Heaven Baby.”
Ahead of the album’s release, Ayra Starr built momentum with singles including “Gimme Dat,” “Hot Body,” “Who’s Dat Girl,” “Where Do We Go,” and “Tornado.”
The project blends Afropop with pop and contemporary sounds, with tracks such as “Letter to God,” “Midnight in New York,” and “Dance” highlighting different sides of the singer’s musical style.
With Starrgirl, Ayra Starr continues to expand her international profile while reinforcing her position as one of Afropop’s prominent young voices.
