Grief has hit two communities after deadly early-morning crashes claimed 12 lives on northern and western highway.
In Marsabit, five people died at 4am when two trailers collided at Kargi Junction on the Isiolo-Moyale road.
Marsabit Police Commander Leonard Kimaiyo confirmed the accident, saying rescue teams rushed to the scene.Hours earlier in Uasin Gishu, the death toll from a Thursday night crash at Lessos Junction rose to seven.
County Police Commander Wilberforce Sicharani said a matatu and a truck collided, and students were among those killed.
Police are urging drivers to be cautious at night as investigations continue.
