Shanghai Fashion Week has announced its Spring/Summer 2027 programme, which will take place from October 8 to 16, 2026, in Shanghai, China. The event will bring together more than 80 runway shows and fashion presentations across the city.
The upcoming fashion week is expected to put a strong spotlight on Chinese designers and home-grown fashion brands. Organisers are seeking to strengthen Shanghai’s position as an important centre of the international fashion industry while creating more opportunities for local designers to reach global audiences.
Several Chinese designers are expected to return to the official programme, including Xiaoli, Shuting Qiu and Short Sentence. Chinese fashion brand Hemu is scheduled to open the fashion week, while sportswear company Anta is expanding its collaboration with designers, including Chen Peng.
International brands will also have a presence during the event. Adidas is expected to host a multi-day programme featuring collections designed in China, while H&M will introduce its collaboration with designer Elie Saab to the Chinese market.
The fashion week will also feature MODE Shanghai, a major trade event connected to Shanghai Fashion Week. The trade show will give international buyers, fashion professionals and retailers an opportunity to discover Chinese designers and explore new business partnerships.
The event comes as Chinese fashion continues to attract greater international attention. Through the Spring/Summer 2027 season, Shanghai Fashion Week is expected to provide a platform for Chinese creativity while strengthening connections between local designers and the global fashion market.
