Formerly known as KUSCCO Housing Co-operative, the Society has rebranded to You & Me Housing Co-operative following a members’ resolution passed during the SGM held on 10th September 2025,” the co-operative said.
This comes days after the Commissioner for Co-operative Development cancelled the registration of KUSCCO and ordered its liquidation over liquidity challenges that prevented the union from achieving its objectives.Mr. Obonyo added that Peter Wanjohi Kiama, Habil Olembo Jesse and Mariam Adam Abubakar have been appointed as liquidators for a period not exceeding one year to take custody of the union’s assets, books and records and complete the liquidation process.
KUSCCO, which started as the umbrella advocacy body for Savings and Credit Co-operative Societies(SACCOs), has been on the news over Shh13.3 billion financial scandal that has left members worried about the safety of their savings and investments.
