British designer Christopher Kane has unveiled his first collection for luxury fashion house Mulberry, marking a new chapter for the iconic British brand.
The Spring/Summer 2027 collection was presented during London Fashion Week, attracting attention from fashion audiences and industry insiders. The show also marked Mulberry’s return to the London Fashion Week runway.
Kane’s collection draws inspiration from British culture and Mulberry’s heritage, particularly its reputation for leather craftsmanship and luxury handbags. Leather pieces featured prominently throughout the collection, alongside structured coats, dresses, skirts and accessories.
The designer also reinterpreted the iconic Bayswater handbag, using its distinctive shapes and construction as inspiration for details incorporated into several looks.
The collection, titled “Town, City, Country,” explores different aspects of British life beyond London. Neutral shades including black, brown, cream and grey were combined with checks and contemporary silhouettes.
Christopher Kane’s appointment brings his distinctive design approach to one of Britain’s best-known luxury fashion houses. His debut collection signals a new creative direction for Mulberry while maintaining the brand’s connection to British craftsmanship and heritage.
