Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has agreed a new and improved contract with the Premier League champions, according to a BBC report cited by Reuters, ending months of uncertainty over his future at the North London club.
Arteta’s previous agreement was due to expire at the end of the current season, but negotiations over an extension had continued for several months.
Arsenal’s leadership had identified retaining the Spanish coach as a priority after he guided the club to its first Premier League title in 22 years last season.
