KFC partners with Kenyan fashion brand to showcase local creativity
Fast-food chain KFC is partnering with Kenyan fashion brand home_254 to launch a limited-edition clothing collection as part of an initiative that combines fashion, food and Kenyan culture.
The initiative, dubbed Kentucky Town 254, is scheduled to run from October 20 to November 15, 2026, marking the concept’s debut in East Africa.
The collection will feature a range of clothing, including T-shirts, crop tops, varsity jackets, sweatshirts, sweatpants and puffer jackets.
According to the organisers, the collection will be designed and produced in Kenya, with garments hand-printed locally to highlight the country’s creative talent.
The initiative will also feature pop-up events at shopping malls across Nairobi, bringing together fashion, music, entertainment and interactive activities.
Founder of home_254, Job Brian Jura, says the collection reflects the brand’s commitment to wearable art and celebrating Kenyan creativity.
The collaboration highlights the growing intersection between fashion and commercial brands, creating opportunities for local designers to reach wider audiences.
It also raises questions about how partnerships with established companies can help emerging fashion businesses expand their market presence.
The initiative is expected to attract fashion enthusiasts and young consumers interested in locally designed clothing.
