Galaxy S27 Ultra Could Charge Faster With Bigger Battery
Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S27 Ultra could introduce faster and more efficient charging despite reportedly featuring a larger battery than its predecessor. The smartphone is rumored to retain the 60W wired charging system used by the Galaxy S26 Ultra.
However, tipsters WalleGalaxy and kro_roe claim Samsung could improve the phone’s charging system so that it maintains higher charging speeds for longer during the early stages of charging.
According to the reports, the Galaxy S27 Ultra could remain close to 55–56W for a longer period. This could make the device charge around 2–3% faster overall than the Galaxy S26 Ultra, despite using the same 60W charging capacity.
The development comes amid reports that Samsung could increase the S27 Ultra’s battery capacity to about 5,700mAh. This would be a significant increase from the 5,000mAh battery reportedly used in the Galaxy S26 Ultra.A larger battery would normally require more time to reach a full charge.
Samsung could therefore be focusing on improving power management and charging efficiency rather than simply increasing charging wattage, which could generate additional heat. The Galaxy S27 Ultra is also rumored to receive improvements to its camera system, particularly in dealing with lens flare.
The issue can cause unwanted reflections when users photograph bright sources such as street lights, sunsets and illuminated signs.According to the tipsters, Samsung could use artificial intelligence to detect and remove lens flare after a photo has been taken.
Early tests reportedly show promising results, with the software potentially reducing the unwanted reflections significantly.Samsung is also expected to improve highlight control and produce warmer, more natural-looking colors. However, the reported features remain unconfirmed until Samsung officially announces the Galaxy S27 Ultra.
