Retailer Quickmart has announced plans to list on the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE) Main Investment Market Segment, subject to regulatory approvals.The proposed offer will involve the sale of 2 billion existing ordinary shares, representing 50 percent of Quickmart’s issued share capital. The shares are being offered by Sokoni Retail Kenya Limited, which currently owns the entire share capital of Quickmart.
Quickmart said it will not issue new shares or receive any proceeds from the offer.The retailer also said it does not plan to raise new capital through the listing and will continue funding its expansion mainly through internally generated cash flows.Quickmart currently operates 72 stores across 16 counties and records about five million customer transactions each month.
The retailer generated Sh50.4 billion in revenue in 2025 and adjusted profit after tax of Sh1.7 billion.
As part of its growth plan, it targets more than 100 stores in Kenya over the medium term.
